Closing Message

The International Conference on Automotive Engineering „Off-Road Vehicles” – ORV 2008 – has reached the end.

Organized by the Military Vehicles and Logistics Department from the Military Technical Academy this scientific event in the field of Automotive Engineering has approached various interest themes for all the present specialists, thus leading to a useful change of ideas in the privileged domain of military and off-road vehicles.

Placed under the equinox sign, this scientific event targeted a view on the passed achievements but also to the future hopes.
The passed achievements constitute a solid foundation for the future projects.
The success of this activity was the fructification of the common effort.

First of all, in the name of the organization committee, we address sincere thanks to the President of the Honorary Committee of our Conference, Mr. Brigadier ret. Professor GÜNTER HOHL, FISITA Vice-president and EAEC President, for his availability and the support given in the arrangement and the proceeding of this conference.
His presence among us has constitute a central element in the connection with the automotive engineers world, that was present for the FISITA and EAEC.

We address thanks to the Austrian, Belgian, Bulgarian, French, Swiss, USA and Portuguese specialists that through their attendance have open this scientific event to Europe an the whole world.
The colleagues, teaching personnel and scientists from Romania, that were present to the conference, have acknowledged the union of the specific, common space in the automotive engineering and the academic environment, the strong connection that exists between all the profiled academic centre from Romania. We thank them all for the participation and the friendship shown.

We address warm thanks to the management of the Defense Ministry, for the support given in the organisation of this manifestation and the messages transmitted to the participants.
We thank our sponsors and to all that, through their work, have assured the smooth running of the conference.

In the end, I address to you all the invitation to participate to the future edition of International Conference on Automotive Engineering „Off-Road Vehicles”, with the belief on a happy reunion.
